The states of our trip......
We left home Friday, April 16 at approx. 5 PM and traveled through the Florida panhandle, Alabama.....
And then stopped to sleep in Hattiesburg, MS.
Saturday we spent the day in Jackson and Vicksburg, Mississippi and slept right by the MS River and the MS/LA border. Sunday we traveled all day. Went through Louisiana......
into part of Texas.....
And stopped in Oklahoma City, OK for the night. Oklahoma did not have a welcome sign! :P But it was a favorite stop on our trip! :)
We spent all day Monday in Oklahoma City.
Tuesday we traveled on old Route 66 through Oklahoma and on back into Texas again. We spent the night in Amarillo.
Wednesday morning we headed for CO and got to check out New Mexico for a few miles! :)
Finally in Colorado!! :) :) :)
We spent Wed-Sunday with our friends, the Riehls, in CO and then Monday morning we took a trek across Kansas......
...and into MO. Got to my brother Lynn's house late that night.
We spent Monday night through Friday morning with Lynn's and then Friday morning we drove down to St. Louis and spent most of the day there. Slept across the border in IL. Missed that welcome sign! :P
Saturday morning we left for HOME!!
Drove through Kentucky.....
Tennessee....
Alabama (again) and finally into FLORIDA!! It was so good to get home and we thanked God many times for all those safe miles!! The only vehicle trouble was a dead battery one morning from keeping our cooler plugged in over night. AAA came to the rescue and we were on our way again!
I will be posting more pics of each day's events when I have the time. I must get away from the computer and get some work done....will be back!! :)
