September 4 ~ In my Mailbox

The normal.....junk mail, catalogs I don't need anything from....and then the abnormal. A package from an Ebay purchase....a new skirt for my daughter!! Fun mail day!! :)

Annual Red Oak Labor Day Picnic

Today was the annual Labor Day picnic for our church. Some of the families camped here at the park all weekend. We chose not to this year and I was so glad. It was hot and muggy and the love bugs are SO bad right now....they are just swarming everywhere. You'll surely see some on the pictures! :P

Jonas (to the left in the blue) always cooks up a huge pot of boiled peanuts! :) They were yummy as usual!

 And you can see the grill on the right that Lonnie cooks chicken BBQ on....it's an annual thing as well! :)

We had a pretty big group this year!! It was good to see some people that used to attend our church who came back to visit with us today!! 

September 3 ~ Far Away

Only 1,020 miles away! This is where my family is (or nearby)

Another picture I chose....which is equally as far away, but is also getting farther away in my memory (though it will never totally leave) is my childhood home. This is where I lived the first 18 years of my life!! So many good memories there!! :)

Now we make new memories at Mom & Dad's new house in Pine Grove! :)

And this is literally me, now! My hair looks a frizz after a day at Torreya State Park enjoying a picnic with our church family! (pics from that coming later)

September 2 ~ Father

Since my dad doesn't live near me, I chose pictures of my kids "father"! These are fresh off the press! :)

She just got done swimming and took her hair down to let it dry....and curl/frizz! :)

And a crazy one~ :) I love my family. They have an awesome Father! (although we use the term Dad) :)

I am going to do a photo-a-day challenge that a friend from a "photo a day" challenge on facebook found on google for the month of September....Since we are already on Day 3, I will see if I can catch up in the next day or two.  :)
